This is a track of 4th International Symposium on Mechatronics and its Applications, Sharjah, UAE 2007.
Autonomous systems is the field of devices that have onboard intelligence and standalone communication capabilities. they are a combination of a computational core, sensors and motors, a finite store for energy and a suited control allowing for flexible stand-alone operation.
